ETP Compliance in Bangladesh
Factories that discharge liquid waste must run ETPs under the Environment Conservation Rules 2023. The rules cover keeping the plant running, not only building it.

What services does Techno Bangla Creation offer?
We offer six services: effluent treatment plants (ETP), water treatment plants (WTP), sewage treatment plants (STP), ETP and WTP equipment supply, installation and commissioning, and maintenance and technical support. We also help with consultation, customised design, water testing and upgrades of existing plants for factories across Bangladesh.
Do you build complete plants or only supply equipment?
We do both. You can ask for a full ETP, WTP or STP solution with planning, installation and support, or order equipment alone, such as blowers, diffusers, dosing pumps, flow meters, analyzers and sludge presses. Tell our engineers your scope and we will quote exactly that.
My existing ETP has a problem. Can you help?
Yes. Describe the problem, such as treated water failing limits, weak aeration or a broken machine, and send photos and lab results if you have them. Our engineers can visit the site, test the water, find the cause and recommend a repair, replacement or upgrade. We support plants built by us or by others.
What technical support do you give for existing plants?
Support covers site visits and diagnosis, water and wastewater testing, troubleshooting of blowers, diffusers, dosing pumps, flow meters and analyzers, repair guidance, spare parts, performance review and upgrades, flow and quality monitoring setup, operator guidance and ongoing maintenance support.
Do you supply spare parts and replacement equipment?
Yes. We can supply spare parts and replacement equipment for blowers, diffusers, dosing pumps, flow meters, analyzers and sludge presses. Send the model, a photo of the nameplate and the problem, and our engineers will check availability and quote.
Is an ETP mandatory in Bangladesh?
Yes, for factories that discharge liquid waste. Under the Environment Conservation Rules 2023, they must operate ETPs, and sewage waste needs STPs. In February 2025, DoE served final notices on 2,046 factories to keep ETPs running. Requirements differ by industry category, so confirm yours with DoE or your consultant.
What discharge limits must a textile ETP meet?
DoE lab reports quote ECR 2023 limits for textile washing, dyeing and printing wastewater discharged to inland surface water as pH 6 to 9, BOD5 30 mg/L, COD 200 mg/L, colour 150 Hazen and TDS 2100 mg/L. Limits differ by industry and discharge point, so check your category with DoE.
What information do you need to start a project or support request?
Send your daily flow in m³, the source of the water or effluent, recent lab results for BOD, COD, pH, colour and TDS, the limits you must meet and the space available. For an existing plant, add photos, equipment models and a short description of the problem. Cost depends on these details, so we quote per project.
